I love having this ma ma and her baby in my plant on the front porch.  She is such a great mom too!  She won't move away from this little one unless she absolutely has to.  She started with two babies but I have only seen this one out from under her. I'm saddened to think that the other one did not make it but it looks like it so far.  I'm glad this one is doing so well. Look how her feathers wrap around the baby.  So sweet!  It reminds me so much of protecting my babies when they were little and being so content just sitting and hold them.  There was no other place I would have wanted to be at that time!  If you head over to the For The Love Of Flowers tab you can see a picture of this mommy in her nest before the baby was able to peek it's head out.
